Yichang is a gate way city to the world’s largest dam located in the Hubei Province. This tourism and destination development is initiated by the local government to establish the local tourism infrastructure at the regional and national level. Located in a peninsular waterfront setting with close proximity to the city and the Yangtze River, the government’s vision is to create an integrated mixed-use tourism development that includes cultural theme parks, waterfront marina commercial with cruise, conference facilities, urban and resort hotels.
